It was when I read your February newsletter that I learned about the New Year’s Day show, and I was sorry I missed it. I thought then that it would be great if you could post some audio so more of us could listen to it, and it turns out you did. Thanks Tim, it was great to listen to this and gain some insight into the stations early days! Happy Anniversary to WONE, and keep up the great work!

this is my first time hearing this and i hate that i missed it ‘live’. it’s great! i too, have so many memories of excitment when you first went on the air. loved and still do love the format and like so many others wondered what happened to some of the d-jays. i will always remember chenot’s ‘zzzzeplin man’ or ‘beautiful kkyyuh hawgga fawllz’as well as the vinyl word, loved it. i remember first seeing/hearing you on WAKR/channel 23 doing the weather i think, and it’s great to hear you and christy in the mornings when i can. whatever happened to brett somers/summers? HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY !!! sorry this is so late but some personal medical issues have made it hard for me to listen as much as i used to but when i can i still do enjoy! ( i did hear the matt patrick send off and thought that was classic, great job!!!) roger

Thanks Donna. We still see Jim often and hold him and Kathy in high regard. They are both still “on the air” at other stations in the area.

I remember Jim well, and have missed him and Kathy on the air ever since they left. I have won a number of contests over the years but really remember the “guess the coin” contest that I won. A years supply of Snapple!!! It was great.
We used to see Jim running around on Friday nights at “Rocking on the River”

My place of business even replace a window in his car once when he was working in Allinace. Jim….you are still missed on WONE.

what a great way to blog – instead of writing – listening it gives it so much more of feeling than reading,
thanks for taking the time and using technology of today
(mp3′s) were non-existent back in 85
sorry i was so stuck on the buzard back then that i did not listen very often only during channel surfing
